The Wagga Wagga-based start-up business has proven it has fuel to burn, as First Class Firewood has gone from strength-to-strength since opening shop in 2018.

Xavier Phyland, co-owner-operator with his dad Paul, set upon the idea of processing firewood when he noticed the need in his community. What seemed like a solid business venture very quickly became a home-grown success.

As the pace picked up and demand for product increased, Xavier and Paul purchased a mill so they could expand the operation.

With no power at the mill's rural location, First Class Firewood turned to Wagga Motors who assisted the team in selecting an Isuzu Power Solutions GS020PTY generator set to supply remote power to the mill and all the equipment required for the business. We caught up with Xavier on location at the mill to see the IPS GS020PTY genset in action.
