28 April 2017

As autumn settles in and 2017 rolls on, we’d like to welcome you to the latest edition of TruckPower.

Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) has set an unrelenting pace this year, with the focus on providing the best solutions for Australian transport operators’ needs, as everyone in the organisation seeks to achieve the number one spot for the 29th year in a row.

Integral to this is the highly popular Ready to Work range, which has kept everyone on their toes with its runaway success.

IAL also continues its competition in conjunction with Milwaukee Tools, giving away an NLR Servicepack chock-a-block with goodies provided by the US-based power tool manufacturer. This has seen even more tradies get switched on to the benefits of the Ready to Work range of Isuzu trucks.

As interest surrounding the Ready to Work models grows, IAL is adding new vehicles to the range, and is excited about unveiling the Tri-Tipper and Vanpack models at the 2017 Brisbane Truck Show. Read more about this below.

Also in this edition of TruckPower, we’ll shine a light on two organisations using their Isuzus to give back to the community. We trekked out to regional Victoria to see how the Murray Valley Disability Centre is putting their Isuzu NNR 45-150 Crew Cab to work, then headed to Bendigo to witness how Power’s Country Express turned their Isuzu FRR 110-240 AMT MWB and NPR 65-190 AMT MWB into mobile displays of civic pride.

There’s plenty to get through, so we hope you enjoy this latest edition of Australia’s longest-running and most widely read truck customer journal!

Happy reading!

– Isuzu Australia Limited

From Isuzu’s new home out in Melbourne trucking west to the 50th anniversary Brisbane Truck Show, here’s the April news round-up from across the Isuzu network…

Isuzu’s found a new home

Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) is proud to announce that construction will soon commence on a new, state-of-the-art head office location in Truganina, in Melbourne’s trucking heartland in the west.

Perfectly situated in the core of Melbourne’s western transport corridor, on the corner of Doherty’s Road and Foundation Road, the purpose-built centre will consolidate all of Isuzu’s operations under one roof.

The over 21,000 square-metre facility will be specifically designed and built by Dexus Property Group, and provide the ideal setting for IAL’s focus on the Isuzu’s aftersales activities, in addition to the Isuzu Parts department and will boast a brand-new national technical training centre.

The new location will allow Isuzu Trucks to streamline and optimise coordination between business operations, while continuing to develop innovative technology for the Australian road transport sector.

The 15-acre site will house Isuzu’s national head office, administration and sales departments, a showroom, engineering and parts facilities, as well as its off-highway engines team and a purpose-built training centre.

IAL Director and Chief Operating Officer, Phil Taylor, said it’s an exciting project for the market leader.

“It’s becoming more and more critical to have our whole team working together efficiently and in a location where we can provide the best possible service to our customers,” Mr Taylor said.

“The state of the art facilities will perfectly reflect our operations in the future – as Isuzu aims to continue improving on 28 consecutive years of market leadership.”

The facility is expected to be operational by January 2018.

The show, held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 25 to 28, will give truck enthusiasts the chance to get up close to the innovative vehicles and learn more about the engineering advances that are going into every new truck wearing the iconic Isuzu brand.

The full line up of Isuzu trucks on display will showcase the versatility of Isuzu’s range and include:

Milwaukee Servicepack Giveaway

The April 30 deadline fast approaches for the competition to win an Isuzu NLR 45-150 Short Wheel Base Premium Servicepack with $10,000 worth of Milwaukee Tools. Truck lovers are encouraged to visit and put their name in the running.

Competition entries are rolling in and it’s not hard to see why.

The Servicepack – decked out in a custom “Milwaukee Red” paint job and loaded up with $10,000 worth of Milwaukee power tools – is sure to get attention out on the road.

The prize, worth $80,000, also includes Dealer delivery charges, on road costs and one year’s registration.

IAL Trucks’ National Sales Manager, Les Spaltman, said the competition, which is open to anyone over the age of 18, was a way for the brand to thank the Australian public for the continued faith they put in Isuzu trucks.

“The Ready to Work range makes it hassle free to get into a great truck and immediately put it to work,” Mr Spaltman said.

“Now everybody has the chance to experience that for themselves.”
